11. HMD Meme
All of us have those moments where we are uncertain about our characterization. Sometimes feedback is the best medicine! So, step on up and post your roleplay accounts and the games you have them in. Let others come by and tell you how you're doing and let others know what you think! Give legitimate reasons and not just "I love you!" Save that for our monthly love memes.
» Anon is enabled but do not abuse it!
» Don't circlejerk.
» Flaming will not be tolerated, play nicely!
» Remember to give critique
If there are any problems, please report them HERE and we will take care of it as soon as we can.
!PLEASE READ: There have been instances of anon bullying & threats in both the HMD and Love memes, so we wanted to stress how important it is that you bring this to us if it happens. Don't ignore something just because you think it's "too small" to bring to us.
Also, please be considerate of the players browsing this meme! Try to limit the amount of graphics and sparkle texts you use while commenting to others!

However, all crit is certainly valid crit, and I'll definitely be sure to keep an eye on it! And, since you thought it was a personal thing against you at first, I definitely apologise for that!

(Anonymous) 2012-08-16 03:53 am (UTC)(link)Importance is subjective. What you are essentially saying right now is that all the threads (including mine) that I have seen dropped are not important. I do understand that advancing along a plot line and keeping up with canonmates comes first, but I have found that there are a number of people at Poly that are particularly bad about posting or commenting, keeping it up for a comment or two, dropping it, then starting a new post or commenting all over. I do believe that the AC standards partially are to blame for this sort of behavior so I am willing to let it slide a certain amount.
I really do hope that you're earnest about

Especially for Poly, which I consider my homegame and try to stay hugely active in. Not as much as I was in uni when I had time to do a whole afternoon + evening of boomeranging, but I definitely keep my shit up there. I don't do the minimum AC because to be frank, two posts in one month is inactive if you're using that as your only basis as activity. In Poly we as a playerbase (at least, the players I know!) generally believe that you're active if you two the two posts + tagging around, building CR, etc. Only doing two posts and no other activity would frankly be abysmal, plus impossible to get anywhere in a game.
I will literally comb through the network and pick several posts either at random whether it's people I have CR with already or not with to comment on, will thread through on them, etc. Poly is literally my priority above memes, psls, etc. I pick days just to do poly stuff during my week because Ataraxion is a much slower pace than it, so it's a higher priority as far as development per OOC day.
So yeah, to be honest, this crit is actually kind of out of left field in terms of my own perspective (which is of course not to say that it's factual if you're having this issue)? I'm actually trying to comb through my inbox right now and trying to see what threads have been dropped there because it really is a rarity for me, my view on rp, and my gaming style in general. The only sort of things that I "drop" (at least willingly) are threads that come to a conceivable end.
Looking at my inbox right now, the last tags I had to drop were from June - which I'm absolutely sincerely apologetic about, but it was a really difficult time with my work at the time and other RL stuff accumulating. So in this case if you had tags that were dropped more recently, it definitely could have been something where I was tagging from my phone and since gmail will stack emails by comment subject instead of separating them by date, it could have just been mislabeled? I really don't know, anon, I'm very sorry no matter what! And am absolutely taking it seriously to double check that things are starred correctly!
(Also it kind of looks like DW are some of your comment, so sorry if I responded too quickly for you to correct it / add to it!)
