Your Castle is really wonderful. One of the things I was really excited about in apping was that you had been playing him there for so long (without a Beckett as far as I know) and one of things I love about long-term RP is how much characters can evolve over time. Castle definitely has that evolution inherent to him, and while Beckett finds it exceptionally frustrating at times, I'm having a really good time playing off of it. That said, he hasn't changed unrecognizably, and one of things I really appreciate as a canonmate is the thought you've clearly put into regarding his feelings for her, especially once she turned up. In a way, I get the sense that it's almost been easier for him not having her around, which makes so much sense especially considering their canon points. Beckett's a little impossible right now, and Castle is rolling with it the best he can, mixed with living on the island for so long, and without losing that fun, playful quality that is very him. Your voice for him is very clear and solid, and I am enjoying the almost timid CR they are developing in the game while they try to rebuild what is, at this point, a very broken relationship.
I haven't played with Rodney quite as much, and seeing that Stargate is my the home for my other main muse, it's always really weird to me to play a non-SG character against an SG character. But really, I was pleasantly surprised that he and Kate actually get along - knowing him as a do in canon, plus playing Vala against a different McKay in a different game made me thing they wouldn't hit it off, but Kate actually likes him a lot. He's still that whiny McKay we all know and love, but it seems like being trapped has softened him a bit (to be fair, the McKay I'm most familiar with is SG1 'verse and not Atlantis so I can't really compare him to his actual canon). Kate doesn't know him that well obviously, but I am having a great time playing off of him too.
I hoping to play off a Kaylee at some point too. :3

Yeah, he's been in TF since January with nary a whiff of canonmates. In a way, it's been interesting for him to not have them- it was the same way in Edensphere, where he had no canonmates for a while, but he also had amnesia there, so. But I do like seeing how characters grow and change without their closest loved ones there, and I am so glad to hear you enjoy playing off him. He's one I worry about sometimes since his personality and way of dealing with things is just so different from my own.

Yeah, by the end of SGA, Rodney's a lot softer and more mature- well, he's still an immature dick, but he's a lot less outwardly abrasive and competitive and actually tries to get along with people rather than shoving them away right away. But I love his and Kate's budding CR, too- she may well become his surrogate Teyla *g*
