So, playing with your Joel has been an absolute pleasure since day one. You have such an amazing handle on his voice and his mannerisms-- I'm insanely envious of the way you write his body language. And given that Joel isn't too much of a talker, body language is a huge part of playing him. Characters that internalize everything and don't find much interest in talking or conversations as a whole can very easily fall to the wayside. People lose interest in playing with you, you lose interest in playing, etc... I do not see that happening EVER with Joel.

You do enough with him where your tags have something interesting going on and it's easy to work off of. I really, REALLY enjoy our logs. Your writing style is incredible and your careful decisions with his dialogue always, always work out.

Joel is not an easy person to understand or play. You're not afraid to let his selfishness show, and you're certainly not afraid to let out that part of him that will always be a dad. There's an incredible balance between his frustrating stubbornness and the softness that he's gradually developed over time in MoM. Seriously, do not worry so much about how much nicer Joel has become, because the way he's developed into that demeanor is completely organic.

And our dynamic is fucking great. I really enjoy plotting with you and working with you because you always have fresh ideas and fun ideas. I'm so fucking happy to have a cast mate who cares as much about their character as I do about mine, because we fucking shine together in our logs. Legit. Like diamonds.

I would not be able to handle Joel's complexities the way you do. That man's head is a place that I can't find the patience to get into but you handle every little part of his mentality/thought process perfectly. Please do not stop playing Joel, because he's amazing.

God, you are such a great friend. I seriously look forward to chatting with you every day, so it totally sucks that you live in the distant future in Aussie land, but the wait's always worth it. You and I have a lot of similar opinions and interests so finding something to talk about takes minimal effort. You are such a joy to talk to because you're intelligent, funny, and just an overall great fucking person.

Definitely glad I met you. So strange how we both reserved at MoM without any knowledge of one another and then BOOM, friendship.
