☑ HOW'S MY DRIVING MEME
All of us have those moments where we are uncertain about our characterization. Sometimes feedback is the best medicine! So, step on up and post your roleplay accounts and the games you have them in. Let others come by and tell you how you're doing and let others know what you think! Give legitimate reasons and not just "I love you!" Save that for our monthly love memes.
» Anon is enabled but do not abuse it!
» Don't circlejerk.
» Flaming will not be tolerated, play nicely!
» Remember to give critique
If there are any problems, please report them HERE and we will take care of it as soon as we can.
!PLEASE READ: There have been instances of anon bullying & threats in both the HMD and Love memes, so we wanted to stress how important it is that you bring this to us if it happens. Don't ignore something just because you think it's "too small" to bring to us.
Also, please be considerate of the players browsing this meme! Try to limit the amount of graphics and sparkle texts you use while commenting to others!

As for using IC contact posts... I have never actually done this in any game before? O.o It seems... counter-intuitive? To put something relevant to a game onto a personal journal, particularly a personal journal which is used for multiple games (as Lyall's journal is). This may be an issue of different RP styles and backgrounds, as I've never been on a game that even made much use of IC contact posts for more than phone inboxes, that I'm aware of. Besides, there are all sorts of closed logs on that community, so I'm not aware that this is particularly common there. (If it is common, feel free to correct me?)

(Anonymous) 2013-05-16 03:19 am (UTC)(link)As for the second, it's common enough that games like Holly Heights actually count IC inbox posts among threads that count as AC. It's sort of common courtesy if you have three or four closed logs to do in the same week so you don't spam up the network. You could also take the CATCH-ALL CLOSED LOG approach. If you know you have several closed logs to do, put one log up with threads assigned to diff characters? Like if I have my character in four classes that require four diff closed logs with classmates, I'd do:
CLOSED CLASS LOG <--- Title
[Starter for classmate 1]
---
[Starter for classmate 2]
---
[Starter for classmate 3]
---
[Starter for classmate 4]
And in the COMMENTS:
Blank comment for Classmate 1 to answer ; Classmate's name in subject line
Blank comment for Classmate 2 to answer ; Classmate's name in subject line
Blank comment for Classmate 3 to answer ; Classmate's name in subject line
Blank comment for Classmate 4 to answer ; Classmate's name in subject line
I really hope this helps. It'd be a bit like what the Art Gallery log looked like if you catch my drift?

I'm aware I was posting too much in the first three weeks or so, but seven out of the ten of those posts were open logs or network posts available to anybody and, if there were closed sections, used this exact format specifically in place for multiple action threads. So while I appreciate the offer advice and the polite offer of help, this just doesn't seem applicable to me, since it's actually something I'm already doing on the rare times it's actually do-able :( I mean, I could do a catch-all log for an entire month, but that seems really silly, especially when no one else is doing it.
