I'm not saying he shouldn't be influenced by those around him; I'm looking at how much he's being influenced. Even if it's people he trusts, does he still have misgivings about the things they do? Are there things that they do that he abjectly refuses to do, no matter how much they encourage him, because it's not something he's interested in? Again, I admit I'm coming at this with an information deficit, but from what I've been told it seems that he'll do whatever his friends are doing or whatever they encourage him to do without being critical of it (okay not literally whatever, as I severely doubt he's going to turn into a serial killer if all his friends are doing it). That does make an awful lot of sense for some teenagers, but I'm not sure that really fits Link.
