I could write up something for you, though generally, we've been doing our own background stories, like this character did this and that in childhood, joined the military and somehow wanted out of it and got the offer to be a mercenary by this private company and took the offer etc. Beyond that it's p much half fleshing out details of the doujin.
In example, my backstory for Akaashi is he was a trouble child, got sent to the military bc his family didn't want fuck to do with him, he hated it tho it helped him mellow down. Despite that he had excellent combat stats so he got picked out by the merc company and jumped on the offer as soon as he got it to get out of the army. He's second in command to Bokuto, and the rest is sort of... the same team dynamics as in the canon series, what with attitudes, personalities and relationships between characters. Just with guns! 8D We've also placed them all in the twenties range wrt ages, of course, so they're all grown up. Being mercs they're also a lot more free in regards to what they can do and not do. They all live at the company headquarters in some type of dorms, but because they're basically hired guns/assassins, they're not allowed to speak wide and loud about what they do, ofc. They take on missions, do training... basically mercenary sitcom. It's amazing.
Besides regular training, martial arts and stuff, they totally also play volleyball as a teambuilding practice, mostly arranged by all the captains. We just had to throw that in too.
All setters are usually snipers, Bokuto and Kuroo are the parkour idiots... etc. There's a lot of holes we've filled in with headcanon which is also why I love it so much. I swear, me and the Bokuto player started doing a psl at the start of June and we've been doing so much general slice of life threads and mission threads and stuff. We're almost at 2k comments on that post alone because we're huge nerds.
